In the Downtime


My family is so supportive-I give them that. They always seem to drag me out of my creative slump because someone wants me to make them this or that for whatever function or for whatever outfit. This causes me to HAVE TO USE MY BRAIN and come up with whatever design for their jewelry. I must admit, the best part for me is shopping for beads. Somehow the rows of beads in every color and style awaken my creativity, but it drains my wallet. I walk in on a mission, but I am always derailed. I see so many things I could do something with. Having to choose which projects to start first is difficult amongst the aisles of beads. It's like my mind goes in overdrive. I think I shop for beads more for myself than anyone else. In a perfect world I would be in a room with my beads, beading supplies, and tons of music all day long. However, the world is not perfect. So amidst my family life, friends, and higher education, I have to carve out time to create something wonderful-just me and my beads.

I am gonna be working on making some jewelry this week. Maybe I'll post some pictures in the next post. Below is just a bit of what I picked up a week ago:
