Frazzled. And What?!

So, today was another one of those days. I'm sure you're asking, "well what kind of day was it?" In short, typical. I started my day without my usual breakfast and headed off to class. Math-great. After math I had a million and one other things to do, and they got done. Not only is it my son's birthday this week, but his sister has a science project due too. I JUST DID ONE A FEW DAYS AGO FOR THE OTHER KID!! WTF?!! GREAT. Can I just say, HEADACHE. But, I love the kids.

What would I have loved to accomplish today?

For starters, more homework. Then maybe some reading for fun-imagine that. If I was really lucky I would have maybe put together some more jewelry, but I'm not gonna push it. At this rate, I'm lucky if I get to shop for new beads.

The good news?

I called a friend of mine who needs some help and wants some bracelets made. YAYAYAY! So, in helping her the creative side of my brain is alive once again. So for that I'm thankful. As a craftygirl and mom, I've come to look forward to the little things. A sign that tells me that my creative side lives and breathes and hasn't left yet.

If you are a beader/crafter here's a link to one of the best online shops (I love them!) http://www.firemountaingems.com/

Craftygirl World

I am a craftygirl who wishes she were in her own world. In a perfect world I'm surrounded by beads, music, books, journals, pens, thoughts, and plenty of sunshine. Oh, how I wish that could be.
So if not there, where? Where am I? I'll tell u:
I'm stuck in a place where my name is Mommy, my occupation is FT Student, and my marital status is Divorced. I am also a daughter, cousin, aunt, friend, problem solver, avid reader, music lover, wanna-be writer, and jewelry maker. Unfortunately, the last 4 items on this list are last on the priorities list.

Creative Brain Drain deals with my struggle to hold on to the things I hold dear all while being everything else to everyone else.

If I make a few good jewelry pieces along the way great! Read a great book-Magnificent! Write blogs for my own blogs and others- that's even better! But if I touch some one's life with my words (between this blog and my divorce blog), inspire some one's creativity through my jewelry postings, or write a book review that makes someone pick up a new book; I've done my job!
